Cancer Support Groups
Community Healing for Cancer Patients, Survivors, and Caregivers
Meetings offer a safe space for people affected by cancer to share their experiences and discuss with others in similar situations. Support groups can provide the comradery, problem-solving and hope for cancer patients, survivors and caregivers.
Yellow Brick Place offers the following support groups:
- Multiple Myeloma Support Group, facilitated by Matt Giambattista with support from Rhonda Wilhelm
- Prostate Support Group, facilitated by Steve Burbrink
- Caregiver Support Group, facilitated by Joyce Aleshire

Support Group Research Project
Are you a writer? Lit Youngstown is doing a research project for Yellow Brick Place to determine how writing can help channel anxiety for cancer patients. There will be a general support group and an additional writing support group. You can sign up by emailing lityoungstown@gmail.com.
